Community Engagement
Ocean Riders offers a variety of opportunities for humans to experience the value of connecting with horses, the natural world, our local history, and one another. Custom designed programs are offered for nonprofit, for profit organizations and leadership teams. We are committed to helping making horses and nature more accessible for everyone and all of our customized experiences emphasize interconnectivity and our responsibility for taking care of the land that takes care of us. Our fee-based programs bring revenue to Ocean Riders, allowing us to maintain a safe environment and to provide experiences to under-resourced groups. We are proud of the small but valuable ecosystem we have created to benefit horses and humans. It is a joy to share the local history, beauty of nature and wisdom of horses with people of all ages.
Public Outreach Programs
Ocean Riders of Marin welcomes the opportunity to partner with other mission-aligned non-profit organizations to provide curated equine learning experiences to groups of their clientele and to their staff, including leadership teams. All interactions with the horses are facilitated on the ground. Riding the horses is not part of the process as the focus is on the relationship between the horse and the human which will act as a vehicle to promote insight, learning and transformation. Team Development Workshops
Our equine experiences are customized to meet your group’s specific needs and intentions. Set in the natural beauty of a National Park, these exploratory workshops offer a unique, fun, and enriching learning opportunity to reconnect with yourself and practice new ways of relating to others. All of our programs are facilitated by Certified Equine Interaction Professionals (CEIP)s with specializations and extensive training in experiential education and mental health and many years of experience in the field of equine facilitated learning and therapy. Nervous System Support
A body of research is growing that supports the many benefits of communing with horses, including the regulation of the nervous system and an increased capacity to experience joy, pleasure and aliveness. Equinicity Marin offers immersive equine experiences designed to support nervous system regulation for individuals and groups and specializes in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) for trauma renegotiation. Partners in Wellness

Holding a High Standard in the Field

Ocean Riders has three Certified Equine Interaction Professionals (CEIP) who have extensive horse experience, training in mental health, experiential education and group facilitation. They facilitate the public outreach programs for under-resourced groups and also offer fee-based equine experiences and programs out of the Golden Gate Dairy Stables which supply necessary additional revenue streams to the operations of the ranch and it’s status as a viable business.
