Welcome to the Home of Happy Horses

Our horses live in roomy paddocks with airy attached matted shelters. The paddocks have a combination of mats and pea gravel to support healthy hooves. As grazing animals horses should have access to forage most of the time for optimal gut health so we feed a choice of Teff, Meadow, or Alfalfa hay in nets that slow down and extend eating time to simulate grazing.
Horses are paired with compatible turnout partners in our sandy arena to play, nap, or socialize around the water tank. We are in the process of working with our landlords to build a new exercise arena behind our back stalls for additional turnout time.

We are privileged to rent limited pasture space from our neighbors, Green Gulch Farm. Safety for all is a priority and temperament and compatibility determine eligibility to participate in pasture herd swaps. No horse will be accepted that needs pasture only.
Our horse’s manure is ‘recycled’ into “black gold”. We aim to be an environmentally sustainable stables and are so lucky to partner with our neighbor Green Gulch Farm who enthusiastically accepts our morning collection of manure from stalls and pastures to ‘cook’ in their compost field before it is turned into rich earth to nourish their produce and flowers. Due to our coastal climate and manure management, we tend to have fewer fly issues than hotter inland stables.

Full Time Boarding includes:
-
Stalls with attached paddocks are cleaned daily. Stalls are matted and paddocks are a combination of mat and pea gravel for healthy hooves.
-
High quality hay fed in hay nets to extend eating time. Being ruminants we believe no horse should go beyond 4-6 hours without access to feed to protect gut health.
-
Mid-day supplements provided by owners are given daily.
-
Daily turnout with pre-approved companions in our sandy arena and potential intermittent pasture time if safely integrated into one of the current herd combinations. We are unable to provide full time pasture boarding.
-
Other services available for a fee.
